The world's largest digital camera has started a decade-long mission to map the southern night sky from the Vera C. Rubin Observatory in Chile. Over the next 10 years, it will capture 700 to 800 images nightly, aiding in the discovery of asteroids and the study of dark matter and energy. This project exemplifies the power of international collaboration in scientific research.
