Yemen's Houthi rebels claim to have conducted their first military operation against Israel, launching ballistic missiles in response to perceived Israeli aggression towards Iran and its allies. Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saree stated that the attacks targeted sensitive Israeli military positions and emphasized ongoing support for Iran and the resistance axis. The situation escalates concerns about the Houthis' involvement in the conflict, especially regarding potential threats to commercial shipping in the Red Sea. Concurrently, Israel has intensified its strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities and other infrastructure, leading to retaliatory actions from Iran. The conflict has also impacted global oil prices, with significant increases noted due to restricted oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz.
